Our 2026 Pride jersey honors and supports the Ruth Ellis Center, a Detroit based non-profit focused on supporting LGBTQ+ youth.  Since its inception, the Ruth Ellis Center has earned a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma-informed services for homeless, runaway and at-risk lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth and young adults of color.

This year's jersey was created with art by Vanessa Reynolds (@venusloc)

"I painted this portrait of Ruth Ellis in 2019 for the annual 'Voices' Gala Fundraiser. In researching photos of Ruth, I found this seemingly rare depiction of her in youth with this huge smile that I thought was so reflective of the love that is her legacy here in Detroit. I'm so grateful to see the life of this portrait extended to be yet another source of sustainability for the Ruth Ellis Center."
